'Daddy, what's a neo-con?'

This week Forest Whitaker won an Oscar for his portrayal of Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland. Towards the end of that film a character tells Amin that 'The fact that you're so like a child only makes you more terrifying'. I had a similar thought when I read this story about the intellectual explorations of George Bush the younger.

Here's an all-too-believable document which turned up on the fabulous Strange Maps blog recently (click on it for the big version):

Richard Taylor backed Amin in the '70s and distributed copies of his Little Purple Book around the campus of the University of Auckland.
