At The Point
Today I wrote my first poem in 13 years (with editorial assistance from Maps).
the cicada stepped out of its skin
into the breeze
she picks the shell
gently
off the pine sap
the dumpy dripping staligmite
she lets the breeze lift it
drop it
onto broken needles
where a condom leaks
like a punctured jellyfish

you should send it to brief, i hear they'll include anything with condoms in it.
wasn't that just when jack was editor?
That's a great start - keep writing.
I think of William Carlos Williams.
He was a great poet, so to be "like" him on your first poem for 13 years, is pretty good.
If you want to know more about condoms I believe that J.R. would be able to set you right - Maps is rather naive and delicate (squeamish - good word that BTW) in these matters I believe.
