These photos were actually taken and posted by Maps. It's a great walk tough if anyone feels like one that is not too far out of the city.
Maps goes to too many places - I hardly ever leave Panmure - so perhaps the fault lies in me, dear Brutus.
Brutus BTW was the name of Tim Shadbolt's dog in the late 60s/70s
when he gave those incredible speeches about Vietnam - often at Albert Park - which we (or the PYM) had liberated for "Jumping Sundays). That was the tall lanky (always had girls round him) long haired Shadbolt - actually BTW he was an amateur boxer and won many fights round NZ...a brilliant orator.
That was when I was alive.
But I must agree I like that kind of semi lonely (almost Romantic!) landscape.
I may indeed now venture to the wilds of Te Atatu.
