Gig guide

According to the readers of this blog, Jack Ross is the (equal) second greatest living writer, after the redoubtable Tomas Transtromer. That ought to be enough of a reason to go and see Jack's poetry reading tonight, upstairs at the Empire Bar halfway down Ponsonby Road from about 8 o'clock onwards. Rumour has it that the big man of Auckland literature (sorry Muzzlehatch - weight alone doesn't give you the title) will be performing a long new piece called 'Why I Am Not A Mormon'.
If you can't make Jack's reading, check out Will-Joy Christie at Cherry Bomb on the 11th, and score some vegan cake as well as some good poetry. (If you're wondering who Will-Joy is, check out the little appreciaton I posted here.)
