Maps - I'm reading Mandelstam - picked (my translated copy) off the shelf by chance - not sure why - I am finding his stuff incredible - I don't know why but when you first recommended his writing I couldn't get into it...been reading it on the train - playing chess in town - very hot and playing an evil game - maybe you could do something about Mandelstam and the Stalin connection (although that I maybe no the side of Mandelstam that interests me so much) etc if time you have.
